Pressed Tofu with Peanuts and Bean Paste

  1. 1 brick extra firm Tofu
  2. 1 can Black Beans (Soy), drained and rinsed
  3. 3 tablespoons Peanut Oil
  4. 2 tablespoons Chili Sauce
  5. 2 tablespoons Organic Shoyu (naturally brewed Soy Sauce)
  6. 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
  7. 3 stalks green onions sliced thinly
  8. Lime slices
  1. Press Tofu in Tofuxpress for 3 hours. Slice Tofu lengthwise in 1-inch strips. Cut each strip in 3 pieces. Place into a bowl and add onions.
  2. Using a food processor (or fork) combine Beans, Peanut Oil, Chili Sauce, Sesame Oil, and Shoyu. Combine till blended well and smooth. This will make a thick paste. Thin by adding several tablespoons of water till it forms into a thick sauce. Place into a saucepan and heat till hot.
  3. Pour bean sauce over tofu and serve.
  4. Add a slice of lime to plate to taste.
  5. This would be great served over rice noodles!
